Hi Amiro,
I bought for almost 2yrs, the price was Baht 8,000, I think they should be cheaper now. I am living in BKK and many areas are flooded now, but not my area, thanks for your concern. I think it will not be much trouble if you want to get one, after all, the PJS-Thailand's members in the South can help out.

My PS is fine because my area is dried and I avoid going into those flooded areas.

A more comfortable seats

Post  Black Angel on Mon Nov 14, 2011 7:17 pm

If you notice the driver seat will be tilted a bit whenever someone pulls from behine (Feeling like not firmly installed and this happened to many PJS here in Thailand, but the service center doesn't have a solution of it) + I got back-ache and butt-ache seating in it (may be because of old age, hahaha), so after discussing with a member in the club, here is my solution: Rally Art Recaro (used).

Selection:

Installed:

Old seats:

Now, I seat more comfortably and gain more leg room in the 2nd row seats.

My first intention is to lower my PJS because I don't like the big gap between the fender and the wheel. The shop suggested H&R spring matching with emu nitrocharger sport. After driving for a few days, in high speed, I feel that the car is more firm and sure enough the body roll reduced much and it's fun to drive with increasing confidence. However, in low speed, I feel a small amount of vibration and when you have to drive though a rough road it causes the "stiff stomach" feeling. I was about to accept the feelings because I guess it was because I lowered the car.

I called the shop and told the owner, who also owned a PJS, about my feelings......I do have a choice!

He said, if I could give up not lowering that much (from lowered 30mm to 20mm), he would suggest Dobinson springs for me. While I can still enjoy the high speed driving fun. At the same time, my low speed driving will be more comfortable. The reason is, H&R is a bit too soft and the shocks couldn't totally stable the vibration from the springs in low ride situation. So, I go for it! And now I am quite satisfied with the new springs!

In fact, if you are expecting a better suspension performance in high speed 140-150 km/hr (firm, comfort and less body roll). And you would also like the same comfort as the original in low speed driving. The choice would be EMU NITROCHARGER (not the sport one) + DOBINSON SPRING (normal height). This combination set is very popular among PJS owners in Thailand.

The first pic is EMU+H&R
The second pic is EMU+H&R+DBA disc
The third pic is EMU+DOBINSON+DBA disc

FYI, after changing the front DBA disc with stock brake pads, you can feel the pull down force every time you brake and "Mr Fade" is gone!

And for your concern about the rims:

Cheers!

Hahaha! I understand your feeling, in fact, I and many of the members in PJS-Thailand were also having the same feeling! However, as you can see, I didn't do all at one time. Every item and every shop that I went for the installation was being "trial & error" and reviews by members.

In fact, we have a small group within the club called BBB Gang (Bag Bomb Boom, meaning rocking your pocket so hard that it exploded!) keep coming up with DIY projects, looking for useful and interesting products to test and review; all under the concept that they must be cost effective, required minimum care and maintainance so as not to affect our daily useage and most important of all, shops or suppliers must be responsible with service mind.

Some products suppliers also approached the Gang for the purpose of help promoting their products, but they must be able to admit the consequences if their products or themselves are not the "ture one" because the Gang is doing out of the sincerity to all the fellows PJS owners. They scarificed their time and effort so that we could save time, money and possible risk.

For example, the latest product to rock our pocket is the ARB underbody protection. However, the third piece couldn't fit in properly and need to be sent back for the gear box clearance modification.

How much I had spent? Yeah, good question, I should sum them up somedays, hahaha!

I didn't only try the red logo, but also the roof rails too. But I personally thought it was a bit too much red. So, I used a clear smoke film instead to make the silver part less shinny tongue

No wonder I don't see many photos in here!
I sign up in www.photobucket.com
upload my photos there
then copy the IMG code and paste in here.
This way, your website will be less burdened with photo files.
